Mark Terkessidis

Mark Terkessidis holds a doctorate in psychology and works as a journalist and author with a focus on popular culture, migration and racism. He was one of the founders of the Institute for Studies in Visual Culture in Cologne and is a member of Kanak Attak. His latest publication is the book Fliehkraft. Gesellschaft in Bewegung – von Migranten und Touristen (Fleeing Force. Society in Motion – Of Migrants and Tourists). His forthcoming volume, Interkultur, is due to appear 2010 at edition Suhrkamp.
    Exit Europe Exit Europe is an international conference focusing on European cultural polices, with a particular emphasis on new cultural practices in the former Yugoslav countries and a critical reassessment of the EU enlargement process from the perspective of emerging political and social geographies.
